2016 Nov PAD Chapbook Challenge Day 29 – ‘Infatuation with Imperfection’

love-imperfect

Today’s prompt: Write a love and/or anti-love poem

(This focuses on the former, but also with the idea it is far from perfect!)

Infatuation with Imperfection

Love is
Finding their flaws
And falling for them anyway,
Forgiving the weaknesses
That make them whole,
Living for their strange quirks
Which irritate most
But are so endearing to you,
To stop seeking perfection
Is to know true affection.
