Day 3’s prompt: Take the phrase “(blank) of Love,” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem.
The Science of Love
What is the nature of love
Beyond the visibly physical?
Some with hearts cold and sceptical
Claim it is merely chemical,
Scoffing at the concept of souls
Who the stars have crossed together,
Their conclusions logical yet cynical.
But perhaps the mysteries of romance
Do not see fit to follow rhyme or reason
And simply set their own rules
To conjoin waiting bodies and minds
In bonds most beautiful and sensual.
