Day 13’s prompt: Write a family poem.
October 2nd, 2015
That early autumn morning
As the leaves’ colours began to change
Is when our family began anew as well,
A first-time father with pride in his eyes
While the seasoned parents gladly don
The new rank of doting grandparents,
And I become a beaming uncle
Who can’t help but smile
When looking upon his angelic niece
With her wide, unassuming eyes,
Discovering and working out the world,
Her glowing family watching over her.
