And so we return to normalcy after the April PAD Challenge, with the weekly Wednesday poetry prompt. Once again this is one that turned out a bit bleaker than originally envisioned, but hopefully you’ll enjoy all the same…
This week’s prompt: Write a ‘reconnect’ poem
Attempting to reconnect…
View memories in multiple colours…
Faces fuzzy and indistinct
Reminisce purely in monochrome
Audio channels restricted
As with age there is less storage
For sentimental data
All is slowly deleted
To make room for trivial stresses
That threaten to reprogram the mind
And obliterate the very essence of us.
